Damages, Defects & Missing Items
Upon receipt of your item, please be sure to carefully and thoroughly inspect your unit for any damages, defects or missing items. This applies to both the shipping box when signing for delivery, and to the unit itself once unboxed. If your item appears to be damaged in any way, please email us at with photos of the damage and the serial number of the unit. We will be quick to process an exchange of the same item/model at no additional cost to you, which includes all related shipping charges. In some cases, the manufacturer will need to communicate with you directly in order to resolve and process incidents of damaged items.
Item Damage: We advise that you fully operate your air purifier and accessories within 7 days of receipt so that you can be sure that everything is in good working order. Many times there are simple things that can be done to address and resolve initial mechanical issues. All of the manufacturers that we partner with have expert technicians available to assist you with any problems you may be experiencing with your unit.
Shipping Damage: Please notify us within 7 days if you determine there is damage due to shipping. This timeframe is necessary for us to process any damage claim with the shipping company (and manufacturer if needed). If we are NOT notified within 7 days, the merchandise will be considered accepted in the condition that it arrived, and may only at that point be considered for return or exchange under our general return guidelines.
Missing or Wrong Items Delivered: If your order is missing any items or one our manufacturers mistakenly ships you the wrong product, please get in touch with us as soon as possible so that we can initiate an exchange or have the missing items shipped out right away.
Manufacturer Specific Return Policies
At Honest Air Purifiers we want to make sure that you are happy with your purchase. Sometimes the product you ordered just isn’t the right fit, at which point we will do everything in our power to make things right. That might include working with you to find a model that is better suited for your needs, or in some cases, that might mean facilitating a return of the product altogether. Either way, we are here to help, so please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns regarding the return process.
Each of our manufacturers has specific return policies, which we have outlined for each below. However there are some general guidelines to follow that apply across all of our manufacturers.
All returns are required to be placed in the original packaging, in like new condition, with all accessories and instructions. Any item that is deemed to be in less than new condition or is missing contents such as instruction materials or packaging, may incur additional fees. It is important that you keep the original packaging for the first 30 days after you receive your merchandise. If a return is needed, the original packaging will help ensure a damage-free shipping process.
Return Exceptions: Products cannot be returned after 30 days from delivery date. This applies even if the the wrong product was delivered, customer decides they no longer need the item, and even if the item is unused or unopened. It is important that you contact us within that 30 day window after delivery to inquire about return options.
Additional Exceptions: We do not accept returns for custom made units, commercial units, bulk shipments and installed HVAC systems.
Refused & Undeliverable: If a delivery is refused or is unable to be delivered to the provided address, the customer is responsible for all charges associated with outbound and return shipment. This includes brokerage fees and manufacturer restocking fees if applicable.
Full Refund: A full refund is defined as the total amount of your original order including the original cost of shipping — even on orders that qualified for free shipping when the order was placed. Our free shipping policy only applies to orders that you ultimately decide to keep. This excludes any orders that were shipped with expedited status. In this case, the additional costs associated with expedited shipping will also be fully refunded.
Shipping Back Items: Some circumstances will require that you ship items back at your own expense. If this is the case, we strongly advise that you insure the parcel at the full dollar amount reflected in your initial order. Properly insuring your shipment back to us provides you with protection against any damage or loss that occurs during transit. Do not hesitate to contact us with questions about properly insuring your shipment.
Airpura
- Open Box: 100% refund and no restocking fee if return is initiated within 10 days of delivery. 25% restocking fee per item if notified within 30 days of delivery date and if deemed to be in like new condition. All filters and accessories are non-refundable and non-returnable due to Covid-19 policy.
- Unopened Box: No restocking fee per item if you have notified us within 10 days of the delivery date.
- Return Shipping Cost: You are responsible for all costs associated with return shipping back to us, unless the item delivered is determined to have mechanical or cosmetic defects.
Austin Air
- Open Box: $25 restocking fee per item if notified within 30 days of delivery date and if deemed to be in like new condition. All filters and accessories are non-refundable and non-returnable due to Covid-19 policy.
- Unopened Box: No restocking fee per item if you have notified us within 30 days of the delivery date.
- Return Shipping Cost: You are responsible for all costs associated with return shipping back to us, unless the item delivered is determined to have mechanical or cosmetic defects.
AllerAir
- Open Box: 25% restocking fee per items purchase price if notified within 30 days of delivery date and if deemed to be in like new condition. All filters and accessories are non-refundable and non-returnable due to Covid-19 policy.
- Unopened Box: No restocking fee per item if you have notified us within 15 days of the delivery date.
- Return Shipping Cost: You are responsible for all costs associated with return shipping back to us, unless the item delivered is determined to have mechanical or cosmetic defects.
Airfree
- Airfree has a strict no return policy once shipped. However in the event of damage or defect, an exchange of the same model will be initiated.
Electrocorp
- Electrocorp has a strict no return policy once shipped. When considering the purchase of one of these highly specialized, commercial/industrial grade air purifiers and filtration systems, we highly recommend that you speak directly to an Electrocorp engineer beforehand. It is important for the customer to fully understand how the various Electrocorp models and configurations can meet the needs of their specific use-case before purchasing.
Scheduling a Return
To schedule a return, please email us at or contact us directly at 1-888-626-1970. We are happy to help initiate a return or exchange for you. Please be sure to locate the item serial number, which will be needed for the return process.
Once the return has been initiated, you will receive a Return Authorization (RA) Number from us. Returns cannot be accepted without a Return Authorization Number and will be refused delivery.
Along with the Return Authorization (RA) Number, you will be provided with return shipping instructions and the return shipping address. As mentioned above, if not for reasons of damage or defect, customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable restocking fees.
Upon receipt of your shipment, items will be inspected for like new condition by us and/or manufacturer. If the merchandise is deemed acceptable by us and/or manufacturer, in accordance with manufacturer specific policies as outlined above, we will then proceed to issue a refund for the appropriate amount to the credit card on file used for the initial purchase.
