3-Stage Comprehensive Filtration
- Pre-Filter — This first layer of filtration grabs and traps large particles such as hair and dust, and in doing so extends the life of the particle and carbon filters. Change every 3 to 4 months depending on use-case.
- Carbon Filter Bed — 20 lbs. of SuperGas activated carbon in a 2″ bed. Targets fumes, gasses, VOC’s and heavy chemical pollutants. The frequency of carbon filter changes is dependent on the specific application.
- MERV-13 Particle Filter – Traps a broad range of airborne particulates. Ideally should be changed every 6 months.
Source Capture Flex Arm (Optional Accessory)
The Source Capture Flex Arm is a versatile add-on for the Airpura 900, designed to remove chemicals, fumes, smoke, and airborne contaminants right at the point of emission. Available in 5-foot or 3-foot lengths, this flex-arm construction allows precise positioning for maximum efficiency.
The arm measures 5 inches in diameter and is fitted with a 6-inch diameter hood for effective capture. It attaches securely to the unit’s body yet can be easily detached when not in use, giving you flexibility to switch between source capture and whole-room air purification.

No Off-Gassing: Built without the use of plastics, rubbers, or adhesives associated with emitting toxic gasses or VOC’s. The only exceptions include the presence of some materials required to meet UL, ETL, CE and CSA safety standards.

Felt Gaskets: All gaskets are made from felt instead of rubber, which helps seal each component and create highly effective air filtration. Felt gaskets have the ability to further reduce off-gassing as well. Additionally, these units have fully sealed filter, motor, and electrical chambers.

Metal Housing: Constructed entirely from solid steel on the outside, the reduction of plastic components in favor of metal housing contributes to the decrease in off-gassing. The all metal housing is also a more environmentally friendly material in general as it’s 93% recyclable.

PCB Free: Electrical equipment often includes capacitors that are made from PCBs; polychlorinated biphenyls. PCBs have been associated with a variety of types of cancers. Airpura capacitors are all made with entirely PCB-free materials.

Pure Air Flow: Engineered so that the units motor is positioned away from the flow of air. Most air purifiers are designed in a way that as air passes over the motor, new impurities are picked up before exiting the unit. Airpura air purifiers were designed to prevent this.
