Airpura T600DLX — Maximum Removal of Tobacco & Cigar Smoke

Tobacco smoke can linger in the air for up to 5 hours, endangering the health of the smoker and anyone who enters the vicinity. The harmful chemicals found in cigarette smoke can cause a variety of health issues, from allergies and asthma to bronchitis and even cancer.

The Airpura T600DLX was specifically engineered for maximum removal of tobacco and cigar smoke, and therefore is highly recommended for any residence, workshop or commercial space where smoke, and related chemical pollutants are a concern. Featuring an extra large 26 lb, 3” deep bed of activated potassium iodide carbon, along with a HEPA barrier post filter, the T600DLX is equipped for advanced, heavy-duty smoke, VOC and chemical abatement.

The Airpura T600DLX adsorbs and traps the following from your environment in spaces up to 2000 sq. ft:

• Tar: Tar is one of the most dangerous components of cigarette smoke; it is the most cancer-causing element. Once tar is inhaled, it forms a sticky layer inside the lungs, leading to lung disease.
• Tobacco & Cigar Chemicals: Tobacco smoke contains 60 carcinogens and over 4000 chemicals and gasses, such as formaldehyde, ammonia,  and benzene.
• Allergens & Particulates: Includes common allergens, pet dander, mold spores, mycotoxins, dust, pollen, and lint. Removing many of these environmental allergens will help reduce allergy and chemical sensitivity symptoms, as well as the onset of more severe adverse health effects.

3-Stage Comprehensive Filtration:

1. Tar-Barrier Pre-Filter – Functions similarly to a cigarette filter. This first layer grabs and traps the tar released from cigarette smoke before it clogs the interior of the purifier. You’ll need to change this filter every 6-12 months if using it residentially or in an office environment, and every four weeks with heavy commercial use. Measures 570 sq. inches and 1 inch deep.
2. Carbon Filter – Extra large 26 lbs. 3” deep activated carbon bed enhanced with potassium iodide to soak up over 4000 chemicals from tobacco and cigar smoke, as well as other chemical allergens and irritants. It should be changed out at least once a year, but up to every three months with heavy use.
3. HEPA-Barrier Post-Filter – 306 sq. in. HEPA barrier traps both carbon dust and additional airborne particulates. Can last up to two years, but ideally should be changed with each change of the carbon filter.

• Metal Housing: Constructed entirely from solid steel on the outside, the reduction of plastic components in favor of metal housing contributes to the decrease in off-gassing. The all metal housing is also a more environmentally friendly material in general as it’s 93% recyclable.

• PCB Free: Electrical equipment often includes capacitors that are made from PCBs; polychlorinated biphenyls. PCBs have been associated with a variety of types of cancers. Airpura capacitors are all made with entirely PCB-free materials.

• Pure Air Flow: Engineered so that the units motor is positioned away from the flow of air. Most air purifiers are designed in a way that as air passes over the motor, new impurities are picked up before exiting the unit. Airpura air purifiers were designed to prevent this.
