Delivering a variable output of 250 to 800 CFM (1000 free flow), the RSU 24 is suited for use in a broad range of industrial and commercial settings. RSU’s are currently used in armories, chemical laboratories and in a host of manufacturing companies with high levels of VOC’s including Xylene, Benzene, Chlorine, MEK, MPK, TCE and Toluene. Several other recommended applications include industrial workshops, laboratories, evidence rooms, dispensaries, warehouses, graphics shops, laser engraving and welding/soldering environments. Also befitting for use in hospitals and healthcare environments. A couple of notable customers that employ the RSU Series is the U.S. Navy and Delta Airlines. 

Depending on your needs, RSU’s are equipped with 60 lbs of activated carbon, Medical-grade HEPA filters and a Tacky 10 Micron Pre-filter, giving it the ability to soak up and trap a vast range of heavy-duty chemicals, particulates and allergens. The Medical-grade HEPA is wrapped with an electrostatic particle filter and removes 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.1 microns, while the deep Vocarb carbon bed allows for maximum dwell time, and thus more efficient filtration of even the heaviest concentrations of airborne chemicals, odors, gasses, fumes and VOC’s.

RSU’s can be used as stand-alone units or ducted directly to process machinery for source capture using reverse air flow.

The RSU 24 Series is available in three filter configuration models as outlined below; each designed for specific air quality challenges and scenarios. 2. Medical-grade True HEPA filter wrapped with an electrostatic particle filter; 99.97 efficiency down to 0.1 microns

2. Electrostatically-charged Micro-HEPA particle wrap; 99.97% efficiency down to 0.1 microns
3. 60 lbs (2 x 30 lbs), 2.5” deep Vocarb Activated Carbon filter

Filter Description & Maintenance Details

Tacky 10 Micron Pre-filter: As the first stage of filtration, the pre-filter helps to prolong the life of the HEPA and Carbon filters by trapping large pollutants, fibers and particulates.

Medical-Grade True HEPA Filter: US made, medical-grade pleated HEPA filter with the ability to trap up to 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.1 microns in size. Captures a wide range of fine particulates, including many types of allergens such as dust, pollen, fibers, mold spores, mycotoxins, pet dander and pesticides. Also filters out pathogens, including viruses and bacteria.

60 lb Vocarb Carbon Filter: 60 lbs (2 x 30 lb) of specially formulated, activated carbon blend for commercial, industrial, residential and institutional chemical abatement. The carbon filter is designed to remove heavier concentrations of VOC’s, fumes, smoke, smoke by-products, airborne chemicals, odors and gases. Specifically targets many chemicals emitted as a result of commercial manufacturing processes such as formaldehyde, benzene, sulfide gas, sulfuric acid gas, methane and mercury vapor to name a few.
